Objective: To explore the current status and hotspots of Chinese medicine in the prevention and treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Methods: By searching the relevant literature of China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), VIP and WANFANG DATA, the relevant literature was screened by using Note Express 3.2.0 and UCINET software according to the inclusion and exclusion standards. The time of publication, author, journal and keywords were extracted for econometric analysis. Results: From 1987 to 2022, 4711 domestic literatures were included in the field of TCM prevention and control of DPN. The high-quality research results in the field of TCM prevention and control of DPN were increasing day by day, showing a wave growth trend on the whole. Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine published 223 articles, which was the institution with the highest amount of publications. There are 6969 published authors, among which Pang Guoming has published 39 papers, and the core author team has not yet been formed. Guangming Traditional Chinese Medicine with 95 articles was the most published journal. A total of 4953 keywords were extracted in this research field, with high frequency of diabetic peripheral neuropathy, diabetes mellitus, peripheral neuropathy, TCM therapy, TCM treatment, clinical efficacy, TCM treatment, clinical observation, clinical research, TCM syndrome type, etc. Conclusion: In recent years, the research hotspots in the field of TCM prevention and treatment of DPN include TCM pathogenesis research, TCM syndrome distribution, TCM clinical trials, TCM clinical practice and academic thought mining. |
