| Ovulatory disordered infertility caused by polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common gynecological disorder related to endocrine disorders among women of childbearing age. Data shows that approximately 56% of women with PCOS face infertility due to ovulation disorders, which seriously affects their fertility needs. At present, Western medical treatment mainly focuses on ovulation induction. Commonly used drugs include letrozole and clomiphene, etc. Although they have significant short-term ovulation effects, long-term use is prone to cause adverse reactions and cannot fundamentally improve the reproductive endocrine disorder in the body. In recent years, traditional Chinese medicine has demonstrated unique advantages in the treatment of this disease. Among them, acupuncture has become a research hotspot due to its wide clinical application and clear intervention effect. This article systematically reviews the relevant literature on acupuncture treatment for ovulatory disorder infertility caused by PCOS in the past 10 years. It conducts a review from aspects such as the understanding of traditional Chinese medicine theory, acupuncture treatment methods (acupuncture, moxibustion), mechanism of action, current clinical research status, as well as summary and prospects, aiming to provide references for clinical treatment. At the same time, it points out the deficiencies of current research and provides ideas for subsequent research directions. |
