Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of Daxianxiong decoction in the treatment of critical patients with acute gastrointestinal function injury grade Ⅱ. Methods: To select 60 patients who were admitted to the Department of Critical Care Medicine of our hospital from May 2020 to April 2022 and diagnosed as acute gastrointestinal function injury grade Ⅱ, and body fluid-pathogenic heat type by TCM syndrome differentiation. According to the order of ICU admission, they were randomly and equally divided into control group and treatment group, 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional western medicine, and the treatment group was treated with Daxianxiong Decoction combined with conventional western medicine. The recovery time of bowel sounds, the first defecation time, the intra-abdominal pressure and the gastric residual volumes on the first, fourth and seventh days of treatment were compared between the two groups. Results: The recovery time of bowel sounds and the first defecation time in the treatment group were shorter than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); In the treatment group, the intra-abdominal pressure and gastric residual volumes on the 4th and 7th day were significantly lower than those on the 1st day, where the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); The abdominal pressure and gastric residual volumes on the fourth and seventh day of treatment in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: Daxianxiong Decoction combined with conventional western medicine treatment can improve the symptoms of critical patients with acute gastrointestinal function injury grade Ⅱ of body fluid-pathogenic heat type, and promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function, with significant effect. |
